Job summary

Compass Corporate is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst, Commercial Finance to act as the financial lead on pricing for new and rebid contracts. You will partner with sales and operations, perform financial modeling, and support KPI development for proformas.

The role touches accounting for monthly reporting and cross-functional budgeting. The ideal candidate holds a Finance/Accounting degree, 3+ years FP&A experience, and proficiency in Excel with V-lookups and pivot tables.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance and Accounting or similar field.
• Experience in FP&A and commercial finance.
• Proficient in Excel with advanced functions (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
• Experience with JDE and/or Insight reports is a plus.
• Strong analytical, communication, and business acumen.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial analyses for pricing on new/rebid contracts.
• Coordinate with sales, operations, and accounting for monthly/adhoc reporting.
• Support annual budget and mid-year forecast processes.
• Prepare presentations for Executive team and cross-functional partners.

Job description

Thesalaryrange for this position is$80,000 to $100,000. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may be entitled to other elements of total compensation, which may include group benefits, employer RRSP contributions, and discretionary bonus or incentive programs, where applicable to the role. Now, if you were to come on board as a SeniorFinancial Analyst, Commercial Finance we’d ask you to do the following for us:

• Work with sales and operations team as financial lead on competitive commercial pricing for new/rebid contracts and negotiations including financial modeling, pricing, internal review, contract negotiation, post-mortem analysis, financial support during start-up and development of KPI’s that can be used in proformas
• Work closely with accounting team to provide all necessary information for monthly and adhoc reporting to Compass Group US and UK; specific reporting includes;
  • New and lost business analysis
  • Like for like analysis and drivers
  • Sector commentaries
  • Review and follow up on any outstanding variances
  • Facilitate consolidation and reporting for mid-year forecasts done by all sectors
• Work with sector leads to gather all necessary information for annual budget reporting
• Compile financial data and complete presentations for Executive team
• Develop and maintain effective business relationships cross functionally with business partners, clients and associates
• Supporting with adhoc requests

• Degree in Finance andAccounting, or similar field required; currently working towards designation preferred
• Experience in the hospitality industry is an asset
• Strong attention to detail as well as critical thinking and analytical skills
• 3+ years of relevant work experience in FP&A field is preferred
• Beneficial to have experience with JDE and/or Insight reports
• Proficient in Excel and intermediate level functionalities (V-lookups, pivot tables etc.)
