Job summary

COMPASS GROUP CANADA is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A, in Mississauga to drive financial performance with cross-functional partners. The role supports forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and modeling, translating complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership.

You will collaborate with Account Management, Operations, and Data Intelligence to validate contributions, analyze trends, and ensure accurate financial presentations.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting designation, or progress toward one, is preferred.

• Experience using AI tools/prompts to support financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Support weekly flash, month-end close, and annual budgets with financial analysis.
• Quantify financial impact of share erosion from deviated offers to members.
• Provide actionable insights using rate, volume, and mix explanations.
• Create dynamic models and navigate multiple Power BI dashboards for data mining.
• Summarize insights with tabular and graphical formats.
• Prepare leadership-ready financial materials and speaker notes.
• Collaborate with Account Management and Operations to validate conversions and identify revenue leakage.
• Analyze trends, seasonality, risks, and opportunities for base and new onboarded business.
• Support external client-facing financial presentations with necessary data.
• Assist with cheque backups and reconciliations; coordinate with Controllers/Accounting.
• Work with Data Intelligence for system-generated reporting for member communications.

Job description

Thesalaryrange for this position is $75,000 to $90,000. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may be entitled to other elements of total compensation, which may include group benefits, employer RRSP contributions, and discretionary bonus or incentive programs, where applicable to the role. The Senior Financial Analyst will provide financial analysis, insights and decision support to the Member Development business, partnering with cross-functional teams to drive financial performance and identify risks and opportunities. The role will support forecasting, budgeting, reporting and financial modeling while translating complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership and business partners.

Now, if you were to come on board as our Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A, we would ask you to do the following for us:

• Support financial analysis contributing to our weekly flash, month-end close, period-end insights, rolling outlook and annual budgets
• Quantify financial impact of share erosion (as a result of deviated split offers to members)
• Deliver actionable, value-added insights on key performance metrics (using rate, volume, mix explanations)
• Create dynamic models (with use of Pivot tables, SUMIFS, XLOOKUP etc.) and navigate through multiple Power BI dashboards to perform necessary data mining activities
• Summarize insights using various approaches (tabular and graphical)
• Contribute to the completion of senior leadership financial preparations (including ability to summarize insights succinctly and have supporting speaker notes)
• Collaborate with the Account Management and Operations teams to validate conversions won and identify revenue leakage resulting from supplier program erosion
• Analyze financial trends (anticipate seasonality of business operations), normalize outliers, foresee risks (near, mid and long term) and identify opportunities not yet realized
• Support channel account managers prepare financial data necessary for external client-facing financial presentations
• Assist the account management team with cheque backup investigations and other necessary reconciliations
• Work alongside the commercial finance team to identify performance of base business and new onboarded business (as necessary)
• Support ad hoc tasks for the Controller / Accounting team, Operations and Marketing team
• Work with the Data Intelligence team with respect to system generated reporting needed for external member communications
