Job summary

Clarity Recruitment is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst in Vaughan, Ontario (Hybrid - 3 days in office). You will own the treasury reporting cycle, including the 13-week cash flow forecast and monthly bank covenant reporting, while supporting the month-end close and operational results.

You will work with the FP&A team on reporting, cost variances, and ERP-related reporting enhancements. CPA or in-progress, with 5 years of manufacturing finance experience, are preferred.

Qualifications

• CPA designation in progress or completed.
• Approximately 5 years of progressive finance experience.
• Manufacturing costing, absorption, inventory and variances knowledge.
• Exposure to cash flow forecasting, bank reporting, or covenant compliance.

Responsibilities

• Own the 13-week rolling cash flow forecast and weekly forecast-to-actual variance analysis.
• Prepare monthly bank covenant compliance reporting and MD&A across a multi-bank debt structure.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate out-of-balance positions to resolution.
• Support month-end close and shorten the close cycle with the Accounting Manager.
• Review operational results with a manufacturing lens, challenge variances and inventory movements.
• Partner with the FP&A team on reporting.
• Contribute to ERP phase-in and reporting build-out to improve information flow.

About the Opportunity

Our client is a manufacturing company, with global operations.

The Senior Financial Analyst will report to the Accounting Manager. You will own the treasury reporting cycle including the 13-week cash flow forecast and monthly bank covenant compliance reporting while also acting as a second set of eyes on operational results and supporting the integrity of month-end close.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the 13-week rolling cash flow forecast and the week-over-week forecast-to-actual variance analysis, reporting on drivers
• Prepare monthly bank covenant compliance reporting and supporting MD&A across a multi-bank, ratio-based debt structure
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate out-of-balance positions through to resolution
• Support month-end close, partnering with the Accounting Manager to shorten a close cycle
• Review operational results with a manufacturing lens - challenge variances, costing outcomes, and inventory movements, and escal... what doesn't look right
• Partner with the FP&A team on reporting
• Contribute to the ongoing ERP phase-in and reporting build-out, improving how information moves

What You Bring

• CPA designation or in progress
• Approximately 5 years of progressive finance experience, either as a Financial Analyst ready to step up or an existing Senior Financial Analyst
• Manufacturing industry experience - required; you understand costing, absorption, inventory, and plant variances
• Strong variance analysis and P&L literacy, with an operational rather than theoretical orientation
• Exposure to cash flow forecasting, bank reporting, or covenant compliance
