The Senior Analyst, Job Costing & Margin is responsible for making profitability visible at the point where it is created or lost: the individual job. This role serves as the organization's subject matter expert in job costing, margin measurement, and operational profitability analysis, providing the insights needed to improve pricing, execution, and resource allocation across North America.
Working at the intersection of Finance and Operations, the Senior Analyst develops and maintains standardized job costing methodologies, reconciles operational and financial results, and delivers actionable margin reporting across branches, service lines, customers, job types, and crews. The role identifies opportunities to improve profitability by highlighting underperforming jobs, contracts, and customer relationships, while modeling the financial impact of operational decisions before implementation.
As the owner of the North American job costing framework, the Senior Analyst establishes best practices and standards that support consistency across the business and serve as the benchmark for international counterparts. Through rigorous analysis, strong financial controls, and data-driven recommendations, this position enables leaders to understand the true drivers of margin performance and make informed decisions that enhance profitability and operational effectiveness.
