Job summary

Southwest Ontario Aboriginal Health Access Centre (SOAHAC) invites applications for a Senior Manager, Finance. The role reports to the CEO, sits on the Senior Leadership Team, and leads the Finance department to support strategic planning, sound stewardship and long-term sustainability.

The ideal candidate is a CPA with 7+ years in finance leadership, experienced in budgeting, FP&A, reporting, audits and multi-funded funding models in healthcare or not-for-profit settings, and committed to

Qualifications

• CPA designation in good standing with a Canadian provincial or territorial CPA body.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible finance experience, including leading and developing a Finance team.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting/FP&A, financial reporting, audit, cash-flow management and internal controls.
• Experience presenting financial information to senior leadership and/or Boards.
• Experience in multi-funded, publicly funded healthcare, not-for-profit or similarly complex environment preferred.
• Ontario healthcare funding and reporting experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead organizational budgeting, forecasting, FP&A and multi-year planning.
• Provide financial analysis and advice to the CEO, SLT and Board; identify risks and opportunities.
• Oversee financial reporting across programs, funders and cost centres; ensure accountability.
• Strengthen financial processes, policies and internal controls; maintain audit readiness.
• Lead annual audit and year-end reporting; address audit recommendations.
• Oversee payroll, pension and benefit-related transactions and reconciliations.
• Develop dashboards and management reporting for accountability across the organization.
• Coach and develop the Finance team and maintain strong relations with funders and auditors.
