Job summary

ACCIONA is a global leader in regenerative infrastructure with extensive Canada operations since 2001. This role focuses on financial strategy, budgeting, cash flow management, and regulatory compliance across major projects and joint ventures.

The ideal candidate brings 15+ years in finance within construction, holds an Accounting/Finance degree, and CPA/CGA/CMA/CPA designation. MBA is a plus and experience with audits and cross-functional coordination is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited university in Accounting or Finance.
• CA, CGA, CMA, CPA designation preferred.
• MBA would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project management to implement and supervise the financial strategy of the project.
• Manage economic resources to optimize cash flows and profits, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
• Control the overall project budget, overseeing accounting, financial records, balance sheets, accruals, and budget variances.
• Coordinate activities across relevant functions.
• Supervise accounting systems to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, analyze deviations, and maintain cash flow forecasts for JV.
• Manage relationships with financial institutions and ensure compliance with laws.
• Lead finance and admin personnel and coordinate JV reporting.
• Lead and coordinate audits and maintain internal controls.
• Provide support to other projects and duties as required.
