Job summary

ACCIONA in Canada is seeking a Project Accountant to oversee full-cycle project accounting, including payables, receivables, accruals, and close processes. You will prepare monthly financial reports and monitor costs, revenues, and cash flow in alignment with budgets and internal controls.

The role requires 5+ years in accounting, preferably in construction, and a CPA designation is preferred. Proficiency with QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• CPA designation preferred.
• 5+ years proven experience as an accountant, preferably in construction.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle.

Responsibilities

• Perform full-cycle accounting activities including AR, AP, holdbacks, HST filings, accruals, and month-end/year-end close.
• Prepare and maintain monthly financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
• Monitor project costs, expenses and revenues, ensuring accuracy and compliance with budget.
