Job summary

Durwest Construction Management Inc. on Vancouver Island is seeking a Field Operations Manager to oversee field operations across active sites, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and quality standards.

You will collaborate with site leadership, manage manpower movements, enforce Durwest's processes, and drive continuous improvement while mentoring field teams and supporting project closeout and warranty work.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive construction field experience.
• Knowledge of BC Building Code and WorkSafeBC.
• Proficiency with Procore and MS Project.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.
• Ability to plan and execute complex field operations.
• Strong leadership and relationship-building across diverse teams.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field operations across multiple sites to ensure quality and safety.
• Coordinate with Superintendents and site leadership to implement policies.
• Forecast manpower and equipment needs and manage onboarding.
• Support reporting, scheduling, and progress updates.
• Mentor field staff and coordinate training opportunities.
• Assist in project closeout, warranty work, and handover.
