Job summary

CIMA+ is seeking a Lead Field Engineer - Transmission Lines to provide field engineering support for steel transmission line construction, coordinating with teams to ensure safe, high-quality progress on remote sites.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years on transmission projects, a Civil/Structural/Electrical Engineering degree, and Canadian P.Eng. eligibility, with frequent travel across British Columbia.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience on transmission line projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural or Electrical Engineering; P.Eng. in Canada or eligible.
• Strong field engineering, site supervision and project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Provide field engineering support during transmission line construction, including foundations and tower erection.
• Review field conditions and design requirements to maintain safe, efficient progress.
• Coordinate with field teams, designers, and clients to resolve on-site issues.
• Sign off on ITPs, witness inspections, and ensure engineering integrity.
• Support constructability reviews and temporary works where needed.
• Travel to remote sites across British Columbia and work in varied conditions.
