Job summary

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago is seeking a Senior Maintenance Associate to oversee cleanliness, safety, and upkeep across assigned buildings, coordinating vendors, responding to work orders, and preparing spaces for use. This role includes travel across sites and occasional on‑call duties to maintain high standards of facility operations.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED with 1–3 years of relevant maintenance experience.
• Experience with electrical work, plumbing, and/or painting.
• Preferred Associate degree with 3–5 years relevant experience.
• Background check and DMV check required.
• Driver's license and automobile insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain interior and exterior areas to ensure a safe work environment; perform daily tasks such as cleaning, sweeping, and needed repairs.
• Assist with seasonal maintenance (snow/ice removal, landscaping) and respond to emergencies; travel to multiple sites as needed.
• Handle and coordinate services with external vendors and ensure timely, professional work.
• Supervise contractors and vendors to ensure quality and adherence to expectations.
• Engage in ongoing learning and skill development; support team and organizational success.
