Job summary

Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation is seeking an External Accounting Advisor to manage external reporting and technical accounting activities. You will oversee the Gross Revenues Statement, audit papers, and contract reporting obligations while supporting month-end and year-end processes.

The role requires CPA designation, IFRS expertise, and 3–5 years of relevant experience in financial reporting and governance.

Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA designation.
• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience including financial statements and audit working papers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of the annual Gross Revenues Statement and audit working papers, serving as primary liaison with external auditors.
• Fulfill contractual reporting obligations and collaborate with internal departments across the organization.
• Support month-end and year-end financial reporting processes.
• Support financial statement audits and internal control reviews, including preparation of audit working papers.
• Prepare briefing notes and executive materials for Leadership, Audit & Risk Committee and Board of Directors.
• Engage with Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Gaming and external stakeholders on financial information requests.
• Develop and maintain cross-functional relationships to ensure proper controls for reporting.
• Review contracts for IFRS accounting treatment and ensure compliance with IFRS revenue recognition.
