Job summary

FutureCare seeks a Corporate Director of Environmental Services (EVS) to lead environmental services operations across 16 locations in the greater Baltimore metro area. You will drive cleanliness, infection control, safety, hospitality and sustainability, ensuring high standards and regulatory compliance.

The role requires strategic leadership, training, vendor management, and collaboration with executive directors and nursing leadership.

Qualifications

• CHESP designation is preferred.
• Knowledge of EPA/OSHA guidelines.
• Experience with hospital/long-term care facilities.
• Strong leadership across multi-site operations.
• Travel locally to 16 locations.

Responsibilities

• Supports the operations, staffing, and financial performance of the facility EVS departments
• Motivate teams, drive execution, and ensure a high level of compliance across 16 locations
• Foster a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement
• Drive innovation in cleaning practices, processes, and service delivery while implementing best practices to enhance resident and team member experiences
• Conducts comprehensive training and quality assurance programs with strong attention to detail in both resident-facing and ancillary areas of each location
• Collaborates with facility Executive Directors to recruit, interview, hire and evaluate qualified Environmental Services Directors
• Collaborates with facility and Corporate Nursing leadership for infection control and patient satisfaction outcomes
• Ensures local facilities adhere to stringent infection control, sanitation, and environmental safety standards
• Evaluates and act upon various performance metrics to optimize operational efficiencies and outcomes
• Promotes the development of EVS Directors and team members by implementing consistent standards and measurements for employee performance
• Develop and refine policies and procedures to ensure optimal functioning and outcomes of the facility based EVS teams
• Conducts on site staff development and training as well as conducts quality assurance inspections and audits to support compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies, procedures and standards; recommends and develops plans of correction as necessary on a timely basis
• Standardizes community purchasing, work routines, inventory systems, sanitation processes and safety
• Develops working relationship with vendors to ensure compliance with organizational goals and contracts
• Analyzes data to identify opportunities for improvement related to key indicators in environmental services
• Other duties and projects to optimize provision housekeeping and laundry services
