Job summary

Aramark Canada is hiring an Environment Services Manager to oversee custodial operations at three Nova Scotia plants. You will manage daily cleaning, staff coaching, and safety reporting while ensuring client expectations are met.

Travel to other sites 1–2 times monthly is required, with a focus on leadership and quality standards. The role emphasizes team leadership, equipment familiarity, and strong communication as you guide ~40 staff across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years' experience in a supervisory or management role in commercial cleaning services
• Model leadership to ensure safety, quality and service excellence for employees and clients
• Experience using and training on commercial equipment such as auto scrubbers, floor buffers
• Be prepared to perform some cleaning tasks in the absence of employees as necessary
• Must possess effective communication skills – verbal and written
• Good computer skills to navigate platforms and generate reports – MS Office
• Must possess a valid driver's license and own vehicle to travel to sites

Responsibilities

• Run daily cleaning operations of cafeterias, offices, and lavatories
• Hire, train, and coach new staff providing a safe working environment
• Manage and direct approximately 40 non-unionized staff across 3 locations
• Ensure staffing levels are met and the right people are in the right job
• Ensure staff scheduled for roles are trained and/or cross-trained to complete tasks
• Maintain inventory and ordering oversight to ensure proper levels are stocked
• Manage and maintain safety reports
• Process daily paperwork; update reporting documentation as required
• Conduct root cause analysis for service fail issues and define corrective action plans
• Participate in regular business and performance reviews with customer
