Job summary

RareBuilt Homes Ltd. in Calgary is seeking an experienced Estimator to prepare bids and budgets for our custom single-family and multi-family homes. You will coordinate with engineering, permitting, and project administration to ensure accurate budgets and a smooth handoff to construction.

The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and proficiency with Buildertrend and Acumatica. The incumbent will liaise between pre-construction and construction teams to maintain budget

Qualifications

• 5+ years of estimating for single-family and multi-family residential construction.
• Broad understanding of single-family, estate, and multi-family construction methods.
• Industry knowledge of vendors, suppliers, trades, and design trends.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
• Experience with Buildertrend and/or other builder software.
• Knowledge of Acumatica or similar accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bids and budgets for custom homes (single and multi-family).
• Issue bid packages and RFQs to subcontractors and suppliers.
• Compile estimates using historical data, quotes, and software tools.
• Manage building and development permit applications and track status.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and designers through planning to handoff.
