Job summary

WSP in Canada is seeking a bilingual Senior Estimator to lead cost estimating for complex industrial, mining, oil & gas, and power generation projects from concept through commissioning across Canada.

You will refine estimating models, defend bases of estimate, mentor junior estimators, and collaborate with clients, contractors and engineers to resolve changes and keep projects on budget.

Qualifications

• Extensive project estimating experience on complex industrial, mining, oil & gas, power generation projects.
• Ability to document assumptions, exclusions, risk factors, and estimate methodologies.
• Experience reviewing engineering data, scopes, and contractor claims for cost impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and refinement of estimating models for cost certainty and informed decisions.
• Deliver detailed CAPEX, OPEX, owner-cost, and construction estimates with auditable bases.
• Assess scope changes, delays, risks, and material needs to protect project outcomes.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and engineers to resolve estimate assumptions and changes.
• Drive value via design reviews and benchmarking for cost-effectiveness without quality loss.
• Mentor junior estimators and share standard tools and methods.
