Job summary

Fluor Canada is seeking a senior electrical estimating professional to lead the development of cost estimates for large projects, coordinate with project teams, and validate vendor quotes. The role emphasizes QA/QC of electrical quantities and adherence to project objectives.

The ideal candidate has deep experience in cost estimation techniques, EPC/EPFC context, and leadership of a team of estimators on mega projects.

Qualifications

• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent with substantial work experience or sixteen (16) years if non-degreed.
• Proficient in cost estimating techniques including labor hours, productivity, materials and indirects.
• Experience in heavy Industrial, Mineral or Mining and Metal projects is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop the estimate plan and coordinate estimate development with the project team.
• Lead the development of the total project estimate, detailed and/or conceptual.
• Develop cost estimates for labor, materials and equipment.
• Prepare the Estimate Risk Analysis and advise on cost contingency.
• Coordinate and validate vendor quotes for major electrical equipment.
• Reconcile estimates with drawings, load lists, equipment lists, and quotations.
