Job description

Taylor Ryan is seeking a senior estimator for three of our General Contractor clients. The successful candidate will have experience in the ICI space, ideally putting together estimates for projects valued over $25 million.

Responsibilities include:

1. Estimating & Proposal Preparation: Prepare accurate estimates, quantity takeoffs, unit pricing, and subcontractor / supplier pricing. Develop risk mitigation plans and ensure proposals are completed and submitted on time.
2. Subcontractor & Supplier Management: Solicit, review, and level subcontractor and material supply quotes while maintaining strong industry relationships and an updated pricing database.
3. Collaboration & Client Engagement: Participate in client meetings, project interviews, and team discussions.
4. Training & Development: Mentor junior staff, assist in team training, maintain career progression, and update estimating software as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• 5+ years of estimating experience within a General Contractor.
• Experience working on bids for ICI projects valued at $25M or more.
• Experience mentoring and assisting junior estimators (asset).
• Experience with multiple construction methodologies (LEAN, IPD, Self Perform, CM, etc.) (asset).
