Position Description:

JLG Industries Inc. currently has an exciting opportunity for a Senior/Lead Estimator in the Barrhead area withPiping & Structural Steel fabrication and installationexperience.

The Senior Estimator is responsible for accurately estimating the cost of labour, equipment and materials for projects. They will communicate project requirements and scope to project managers and develop relationships with clients. The Estimator will assist in the risk analysis, profitability and analyze the competitive positioning of projects out for tender.

Position Requirements:

• Proficiency in the development of detailed estimates including Fixed price/Lump Sum, Time and Materials and Maintenance, and associated rates development
• Familiarity with contracts including terms and conditions, and exception and exclusions
• Demonstrated understanding and compliance with responsibilities under the provincial Occupational Health and Safety Acts and Regulations and JLG Industries Safety and Quality Management systems, policies and procedures.
• Accountable for accuracy and completeness of tender submissions
• Perform job walk downs
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to build trust with a broad network of professional colleagues, subcontractors and team members
• Ability to be a self-starter, with emphasis in a team oriented environment
• Experience and Qualifications:
• Trades ticket or technical diploma or an equivalent level of directly related experience is required
• Experience with estimating software
• Must have a Class 5 Drivers license

References will be required.

• Monday to Friday (Work in shop 1-3 days per week required)
