An established industry player is seeking a Senior Estimator to join their dynamic team. This role focuses on collaborating with Delivery Partners on significant infrastructure projects, particularly the Scarborough Subway. The ideal candidate will bring over 15 years of cost estimating experience, particularly in federal government projects, and will be proficient in using specialized software for cost analysis. You'll be responsible for creating detailed cost estimates, performing quantity take-offs, and ensuring quality through adherence to QA/QC procedures. Role Overview

This position will collaborate with Delivery Partners on the Scarborough Subway project.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Create cost estimates, studies, analyses, and evaluations throughout project development stages.
• Review documentation thoroughly and develop detailed cost estimates/models aligning with project goals.
• Perform quantity take-offs with appropriate detail.
• Input estimate data into relevant software.
• Review contractor estimates and variations.
• Ensure quality through adherence to QA/QC procedures.
• Communicate effectively via verbal, written, and visual means.
• Research and develop sources/vendors for cost data accuracy.
• Incorporate project constraints into cost analysis.
• Review change order estimates from contractors and subcontractors.
• Conduct client meetings.

Profile and Skills

• 15+ years of cost estimating experience, especially in federal government and infrastructure projects.
• Ability to interpret construction documents accurately.
• Proficiency with On-Screen Takeoff (OST) or similar software like Hard Dollar or Cost X.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proven experience working directly with clients and presenting confidently.
• Self-motivated and independent.
• Professional Cost Estimating Certification is preferred but not required.
• Understanding of construction methods in railway and highway infrastructure.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or related experience.
