Job summary

ERM is seeking a Managing Technical Consultant, Environmental Scientist to join our Yellowknife, NT office. You will lead freshwater and marine aquatic programs across Canada, mentor multidisciplinary teams, and deliver high-quality scientific analyses to inform environmental decisions and regulatory processes.

You will collaborate with toxicologists, hydrologists, fisheries and wildlife biologists, and other specialists to deliver integrated environmental solutions while maintaining strong

Qualifications

• BSc in Aquatic Biology, Marine Biology or similar discipline.
• 4+ years of experience organizing, managing, and executing field programs including remote locations.
• Strong data management, analysis, and presentation skills.
• Commitment to safety and health protocols.
• Familiarity with Federal, Provincial, and Territorial regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee freshwater and/or marine field programs from planning through execution.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and provide technical guidance.
• Manage project deliverables, schedules, budgets, and quality expectations.
• Compile, manage, review, and analyze water quality, sediment quality, and biological datasets.
• Interpret scientific findings and develop practical recommendations for clients.
• Prepare, review, and deliver technical reports and permitting documentation.
• Support data management and QA processes.
