Job summary

ERM invites you to join as an Aquatic Biologist contributing to high-visibility environmental projects across Western and Northern Canada, shaping regulatory decisions and protecting freshwater and marine ecosystems.

You will lead aquatic field programs, perform data analysis, and prepare technical reports, supporting permitting, baseline assessments, and long-term monitoring in remote settings. collaboration across multidisciplinary teams is essential.

Qualifications

  • BSc in Aquatic Biology or related discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience planning, managing and executing aquatic field programs (freshwater and/or marine), including work in remote settings.
  • Strong data management and statistical analysis skills using R or similar software.
  • Experience with field and data QA/QC processes.

Responsibilities

  • Advance aquatic science through field programs, data analysis, and technical reporting.
  • Provide insights into water quality, sediment quality, and aquatic communities.
  • Support environmental permitting, baseline assessments, impact evaluations, and long-term monitoring.
  • Strengthen data integrity and scientific defensibility through QA/QC and methodological consistency.
