Job summary

Dillon Consulting Limited seeks an Environmental Scientist/Engineer to join the Contaminant Remediation Group. The role can be based in Calgary or other Dillon offices across Canada, supporting site assessment, remediation design, and regulatory compliance.

You will lead multi-disciplinary teams and drive client relationships in a fast-paced consulting environment. The successful candidate will bring extensive project management experience, licensed or eligible professional status, and at least

Qualifications

• A degree in civil or environmental engineering, geology, hydrogeology or environmental science, preferably at the master’s level.
• Licensed to practice as a professional engineer or geoscientist or eligible to be licensed within 6 months.
• Experience with a range of client types preferred (e.g., federal government departments, private industrial clients, municipalities, first nations)
• Proven Project Management experience
• A minimum of 15 years’ relevant work experience
• Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Manage environmental projects including site assessment and remediation, risk assessment and risk management, and regulatory compliance monitoring
• Provide technical and professional leadership to multi-disciplinary project teams including engineers, scientists and technologists
• Ability to design remediation programs or risk management measures for impacted soil, groundwater, and soil vapour at contaminated sites.
• Liaise with public and private sector clients, government review and approval agencies, subconsultants, and subcontractors
• Contribute to the development and coordination of client relationships and business growth
• Contribute to client/revenue acquisition and internal team growth to deliver the business
• Contribute to business development activities including proposal preparation and presentations
• Business travel upon request
