Job Summary

Langan is seeking an Environmental Engineer to join its collaborative team in Calgary. This individual will serve a key role in site exploration activities, including soil borings and monitoring well installations, conducting field tests, collecting data and samples, monitoring construction sites, and compiling reports. The position offers opportunities to work on diverse projects, solve environmental challenges, and contribute to restoring and reusing properties while protecting the environment. Job Responsibilities

• Evaluate environmental remedial technologies, estimate costs, and develop design drawings and specifications.
• Conduct field inspections and environmental investigations.
• Perform sampling of air, soil, gas, and groundwater, and remediate contaminated properties.
• Oversee remediation activities and subcontractors in the field.
• Assist in preparing technical reports, specifications, plans, and manage data evaluation and environmental assessments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• EIT Certification.
• Knowledge of computer software, AutoCAD, and GIS is a plus.
• Strong technical background, professional demeanor, and eagerness to learn.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail, analytical skills, multitasking, and sound judgment.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to remote sites.
