Job summary

Enbridge Inc. is seeking a Sr Advisor Environment in Calgary, Alberta, to provide technical leadership and regulatory expertise for air quality and emissions management across Canada.

You will guide regulatory strategy, compile and report emissions data, and support permitting and compliance efforts, while collaborating with operations and corporate partners. The role emphasizes environmental stewardship, regulatory interpretation, and a flexible hybrid work model with travel as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 6 years progressive experience in air emissions management or environmental compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian federal and provincial air emissions and greenhouse gas regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as senior air quality and emissions SME providing leadership and regulatory guidance.
  • Lead compilation, quantification, verification, and reporting of greenhouse gas and air emissions data for regulatory compliance and sustainability reporting.
  • Ensure timely submission of federal and provincial air emissions reports and other regulatory deliverables.
  • Maintain and enhance greenhouse gas and air emissions inventories with regulatory and operational changes.
  • Identify and communicate air compliance risks and business impacts from regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze emerging air regulations and support regulatory positions, compliance strategies, and implementation plans.
  • Support air permitting for assigned projects.

What You Will Do:
  • Serve as the senior air quality and emissions subject matter expert, providing technical leadership, regulatory interpretation, and strategic guidance to operations, projects, and corporate partners.
  • Lead the compilation, quantification, verification, and reporting of greenhouse gas and air emissions data for regulatory compliance and sustainability reporting across Enbridge Canada operations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of federal and provincial air emissions reports and other regulatory deliverables.
  • Maintain and enhance greenhouse gas and air emissions inventories by incorporating regulatory and operational changes.
  • Identify, assess, communicate, and help mitigate air compliance risks and business impacts associated with existing and emerging regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze emerging and proposed air regulations, assess business impacts and compliance risks, and support the development of regulatory positions, compliance strategies, and implementation plans.
  • Support air permitting for assigned projects.
Who You Are:
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, Engineering, or other science related subject area.
  • Minimum 6 years progressive experience in air emissions management, environmental compliance, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Canadian federal and provincial air emissions and greenhouse gas regulations, reporting requirements, and compliance programs.
  • Technical expertise in greenhouse gas quantification, emissions inventory development, emissions reporting, and regulatory interpretation.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to assess regulatory issues, identify compliance risks, and develop practical solutions.
  • Ability to develop effective, collaborative working relationships with colleagues from a variety of subject areas, levels of the organization, and across geographic locations.

Working Conditions: Office environment. 10% travel.
