Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Telephony Specialist to design, implement, and support enterprise communications across the organization. You will ensure reliable VoIP, PBX, internet, and livestreaming services while aligning with business objectives and security standards.

With a College diploma or university degree and 5+ years in enterprise telecom, you will lead critical telecom projects, manage vendor relationships, and mentor junior staff in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• College diploma or university degree in a related field.
• Minimum five (5) years of progressive experience in enterprise telecommunications and voice environments.
• Minimum two (2) years installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting network infrastructure.
• Strong expertise in VoIP technologies, IP telephony architecture, and network security concepts.
• Experience supporting enterprise communication platforms, internet services, PBX systems, Microsoft technologies, and cloud-based solutions.
• Certifications such as ITIL, Cisco, Microsoft 365, Azure are strong assets.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise telephony, VoIP, internet, and communication services.
• Act as the technical lead for telecom projects including upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
• Administer telephony platforms, VoIP, PBX, analog, fax, livestreaming, and related technologies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure scalable, reliable and secure communications aligning with business needs.
• Develop and maintain telecom policies, DR plans, and operational documentation.
• Provide mentoring and guidance to junior team members.
