Job Posting Description: Senior Enterprise Solution Architect

Salary Range: $94,000 - $174,700

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity as Solutions Architect with the LCBO? Then this role may be the next career step for you! Reporting to the Director, Enterprise Architecture, you will be a senior member of the IT team, responsible for supporting Enterprise Architecture (EA) activities, including analysis of organizational goals, requirements, defining the technology approach, developing Solution Architectures, and orchestrating the delivery of targeted outcomes.

Solutions may involve platforms, applications, processes, data, infrastructure services, cloud, mobile, and IoT technologies.

About The Role

• Derive Future State Technology Architecture (30%)
• Collaborate with EA peers to analyze enterprise business context and change requirements, defining requirements, principles, and models for technology decisions.
• Develop solution architectures for complex solutions to guide new business capabilities and operating models.
• Promote digital innovation using new technologies and approaches.
• Define high-level migration plans to bridge current and future states.
• Deliver Business Outcomes (35%)
• Lead a team of architects and SMEs, facilitating architecture development.
• Oversee technology implementation activities for new or shared infrastructure solutions.
• Create reference implementations for agile teams.
• Analyze and Evaluate Technology (20%)
• Analyze technology trends and their impact, guiding investment decisions.
• Define metrics to measure enterprise technology value.
• Design governance, assurance, and standards activities.
• Oversee research, evaluation, and selection of hardware and software standards.
• Identify cultural and financial impacts of architecture.
• Report on EA processes and outcomes.
• Communication and Presentation (15%)
• Present at senior management meetings, providing clear explanations and reporting on architectural significance.

About You

• Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Math, or related fields.
• 7+ years in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, or Information System Design.
• Hands-on experience with service-oriented architecture and integration patterns.
• Experience architecting solutions in hybrid, multi-cloud environments.
• Experience with structured design methodologies.
• Extensive experience in systems analysis and design in large enterprises, preferably retail or wholesale.
• Proficiency in drafting and presenting architecture deliverables.
• Knowledge of TOGAF, ITSM, ITIL, COBIT processes and technologies.
• Knowledge of SDLC methodologies.
• Experience with Integration Platforms (MuleSoft, Confluent Kafka) and retail platforms (SAP, Blue Yonder, etc.).
• Knowledge of retail & wholesale systems.
• Experience in API design, Agile integration, and event-driven architecture.
