Location: 1675 Montgomery Park Road (100% on site)

Job Overview:

  • Provide technical evaluation, considerations, and proposals, as required in a number of major work areas, in our client’s nuclear facility. Maintain instructions and procedures up to date, prepare reports, review proposals from external organizations.
  • Proficiency with Steel/ Aluminum/ Concrete structure design\analysis and use of structural engineering software preferably STAADPRO.
  • Good Command in using Microsoft Office and Adobe is preferred.
  • Able to design and inspect Aluminum Scaffold per applicable Standards/ Codes and Standards/ OHSA regulations
  • Knowledge of Ontario regulation 851 and Ontario Regulation 213
  • Carry out structural calculations, perform plant walkdowns Work as a part of Plant Design Pickering providing structural design support to modifications.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Professional Engineer with PEO and having 10 years of related experience.
  • Degree in Structural Engineering to Canadian University Standards.
  • Proficiency with Steel/ Aluminum/ Concrete structure design\analysis and use of structural engineering software preferably STAADPRO.
  • Good Command in using Microsoft Office and Adobe is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for interaction with clients. colleagues and contractors. including email correspondence using Microsoft Outlook.
  • Preferred: Ontario Driver’s License and access to a vehicle.
