Job summary

Lumentis Group is seeking an experienced Electronics Manufacturing Subject Matter Expert to lead SMT manufacturing capability, equipment selection, installation and launch. You will work with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Program Management and Supply Chain to establish scalable SMT processes and ensure production readiness.

The role requires strong technical leadership in PCB/PCBA manufacturing, AOI, reflow, testing and DFMA/DFT reviews, with a focus on automotive-quality systems and

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Engineering Technology or a related discipline.
• 7–10+ years of progressive experience in electronics manufacturing, SMT manufacturing, manufacturing engineering or electronics operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of Surface Mount Technology manufacturing capability.
• Define process and equipment requirements for SMT assembly operations.
• Develop technical specifications for new manufacturing equipment.
• Evaluate and recommend SMT equipment, suppliers and system integrators.
• Coordinate equipment installation, commissioning and production readiness.
• Establish manufacturing parameters, process controls and production standards.
• Support production ramp-up and resolve equipment or process issues during launch.
• Support high-volume electronics manufacturing processes and quality controls.
