EDUCATION:
A secondary school diploma (High School) AND completion of an acceptable training program in electronics technology or the employer-approved alternative.
EXPERIENCE:
EX1: Experience in performing maintenance and installations of navigational, sensors or communication systems.
EX2: Experience in the delivery of life cycle management of marine or land electronic equipment and systems used for navigation, communications and informatics.
EX3: Experience providing advice, guidance or recommendations to supervisors, co-workers and clients regarding marine or land electronic equipment and systems used for navigation, communications and informatics.
EX4: Experience participating in the development of technical and or logistic support solutions to correct defects in systems and equipment or deficiencies in maintenance and repair practices.
EXPERIENCE:
AEX1: Successful completion of the Canadian Coast Guard Marine Electronic Technology Development Program.
AEX2: Recent experience in supervising human resources, assigned tasks and providing oversight.
AEX3: Recent experience performing Quality Control and Quality Assurance on marine or land base electronic equipment.
AEX4: Recent experience in conducting ship radio inspections.
AEX5: Recent experience supervising contractors' work and performance in compliance with contract conditions.

Required to not be susceptible to claustrophobia, vertigo or fear of heights.
