Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Canada seeks a Senior Project Engineer to lead the integration and delivery of electrical systems for a major power generation project. You will oversee design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operational readiness, coordinating across engineering, procurement, and field teams.

The ideal candidate has a P.Eng designation, a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, and 10+ years in large power generation, nuclear, or EPC environments, with strong OEM/vendor management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• P.Eng designation required; PMP is an asset.
• 10+ years of electrical engineering experience.
• Experience in large power generation, nuclear, utility, or EPC projects.
• Experience with generator systems, grid integration, and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering strategy for Conventional Island systems.
• Manage generator systems, protection, cooling, and grounding.
• Interface with turbine OEMs, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
• Support grid interconnection studies and protection coordination.
• Develop technical specs, support procurement, and evaluate bids.
• Coordinate engineering, construction, commissioning, and operations teams.
• Participate in design reviews, FATs, SATs, startup, and testing.
