Job summary

EllisDon Corporation is seeking a Senior Estimator - Electrical in Canada to lead the preparation of accurate electrical estimates for complex bids. You will manage material, labor, and equipment take-offs, develop cost breakdowns, and guide subcontractor quotes while coordinating with clients and internal teams.

The role requires extensive estimating experience, strong knowledge of electrical systems, and proficiency with Accubid.

Qualifications

• Construction-related degree/diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with pre-construction, design-build and cost control.
• Familiarity with estimating in data center, manufacturing or labs sectors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret project plans, specs and docs to understand scope and estimation requirements.
• Assemble accurate estimates for electrical systems across bid packages.
• Lead quantity take-off of material, labor and equipment using digital estimating tools.
• Develop detailed estimates, cost breakdowns, exclusions and submission criteria.
• Oversee prequalification submissions, RFQs and RFIs.
• Coordinate site walks and bid meetings with subtrades.
• Build relationships with clients, consultants, subs, suppliers and internal teams.
