Job summary

Hatch in Sudbury, Ontario, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. Projects span mining and mineral processing, with large EPCM and smaller operations support work in a multi-discipline engineering environment.

You will lead a team of electrical engineers and CAD staff, provide technical guidance, mentor engineers, and ensure design quality and schedule adherence. Base salary range featured below with total rewards.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree and licensure with the P.E.O or Canadian equivalent.
• 7+ years of experience in EPCM or industrial electrical projects.
• Strong communication and multi-disciplinary team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Leads a team of Electrical Engineers, Designers and CAD personnel in project execution.
• Provides technical leadership and guidance for the electrical team.
• Mentor engineers-in-training and designers.
• Prepare and check calculations as required.
• Prepare electrical equipment specification packages.
• Check vendor drawings and data for compliance with specifications.
• Prepares detailed design, supply, construction and installation specifications.
• Develop conceptual designs, studies, reports and proposals.
• Ensures effective communication within project teams and with client engineers.
• Visit project sites and Hatch design offices as required.
