Job summary

Hatch seeks a Civil Engineer to lead the civil discipline on major projects in mining, energy and infrastructure. You will drive design excellence, mentor teams, and ensure technically sound solutions that meet safety and quality standards while integrating with multidisciplinary teams.

With a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering and PEGNL, you will oversee roadways, stormwater, earthworks, and other civil packages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Member in good standing of PEGNL.
• 7+ years of relevant experience (senior-level).
• Strong expertise in stormwater management, roadway geometry, pavement design and earthworks.
• Interfaces with related engineering disciplines understood.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley OpenRoads, and ProjectWise is an asset.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Fluency in English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Civil design and technical leadership on major projects.
• Coordinate interfaces with structural, geotechnical and hydrotechnical teams.
• Develop models and drawings; ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers and technical professionals.
• Contribute to technical proposals and client relationships.
