Job summary

Egis Group in Canada seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer – Team Lead, MEP to lead the electrical building-services capability. You will guide design and delivery for commercial, institutional, transportation and other projects, while mentoring staff and growing the electrical practice.

The role combines technical leadership, client engagement and business development, working with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated MEP solutions across Canada.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• P.Eng. designation with a Canadian regulator, or eligibility for registration.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive electrical engineering experience, with significant MEP/building electrical design.
• Minimum 5 years of Canadian consulting engineering experience involving building electrical systems and multidisciplinary project delivery.
• Demonstrated experience leading electrical design teams and managing electrical engineering deliverables.
• Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and building, fire and electrical standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical and people leadership to electrical engineers, designers and BIM staff.
• Lead planning, design and delivery of electrical systems from concept to commissioning.
• Coordinate electrical designs with mechanical, architectural, structural and other disciplines.
• Develop and maintain electrical design standards, templates and BIM tools.
• Support proposals, scopes of work, fee estimates and project execution plans.
