Job summary

IPS-Integrated Project Services in Ottawa, Ontario, seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design on technically complex life sciences facilities. You will manage scopes, perform calculations, review drawings, and coordinate with clients and authorities, ensuring safety and compliance.

The role requires a P.Eng. with Ontario licensure or eligibility, 8–10 years of experience, and proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD and power-system analysis tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a Canadian university or equivalent.
• 8–10 years of progressive electrical engineering and building-design experience.
• P.Eng. with PE Ontario or eligible to obtain registration in other provinces.
• 2–4 years coordinating engineers and designers on project teams.
• Strong knowledge of CSA/CEC standards and Canadian codes.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD for electrical design documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design efforts across multiple projects and phases.
• Prepare electrical scopes of work, studies, and drawings.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and authorities having jurisdiction.
• Perform electrical calculations: load flow, voltage drop, short-circuit, arc-flash, and protection coordination.
• Mentor team members and ensure design quality and compliance.
