Job summary

IPS, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is seeking a Senior (Revit) Architectural Technologist for our Vaughan, Toronto office. You will leverage Revit and CAD to deliver architectural drawings for life sciences facilities and support project teams across multiple phases.

You will mentor junior technologists, ensure compliance with the Ontario Building Code, and coordinate with consultants to resolve design challenges, while maintaining BIM libraries and standards across projects.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology or equivalent.
• 5+ years of Revit experience within an architectural firm.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario Building Code (OBC) and construction detailing.
• Good communication with clients, consultants, and officials.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a talented Senior (Revit) Architectural Technologist with extensive CAD experience to join our dedicated team at our office located in Vaughan, Toronto.

In this role, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality architectural designs and ensuring efficient project delivery across project types, largely focused on the life sciences sector.

Additional Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and manage architectural drawings and documentation using Revit and CAD software.


• Collaborate with project teams to create accurate and detailed design solutions.


• Ensure adherence to local building codes, industry standards, and client requirements.


• Provide mentorship and technical support to junior technologists and team members.


• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve design and technical challenges.


• Maintain and update project files, libraries, and templates within the BIM environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.


• Effective communication skills to liaise with clients, consultants, and team members.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with additional software (e.g., SketchUp, Navisworks).
