Job summary

Dillon Consulting Limited is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Winnipeg-based team. You will contribute to full project delivery, from initial design through commissioning, across environmental, industrial, manufacturing, commercial and infrastructure projects.

The successful candidate will have a degree in electrical engineering, be licensed or eligible for licensure within six months, and bring at least five years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university.
• Licensed to practice as a professional engineer or eligible to be licensed within six months.
• A minimum of five (5) years of related professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide full spectrum of project delivery from requirement gathering to commissioning and troubleshooting for various projects.
• Involved in design for power and electrical systems including LV/MV, motor control, lighting, instrumentation and control, emergency power, fire and comms.
• Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and contract documents; prepare technical reports; prepare construction cost estimates.
• Perform testing and verification of electrical systems; assist site investigations and deficiency reporting.
• Assist with construction administration, including RFI responses and change orders; review safe work practices and perform risk assessments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams; coordinate with utilities, equipment suppliers, contractors, and clients.
• Ensure designs meet Canadian Electrical Code, CSA, UL, NFPA and other applicable standards; review for code compliance.
