  2. Provide engineering support toward documenting and/or troubleshooting operational issues with electrical systems and/or electrical equipment.
  3. Identify and work to proactively resolve any compliance issues.
  4. Identify and document potential capital improvement projects necessary to improve operations by conducting site visits to document existing conditions, developing new requirements based on planned use, and creating preliminary scopes or budgetary cost estimates.
  5. Perform electrical design reviews for facility improvement projects provided by third-party or in-house design efforts.
  6. Assess compliance of design packages with applicable Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), electrical codes, and regulations, as well as end-user requirements.
  7. Work with related equipment and systems such as electrical power service, emergency generators, HVAC, surge suppression, lightning protection, grounding, bonding, control systems, and telecommunications systems.
  8. Collaborate and communicate effectively with other stakeholders, internal and external.
  9. Serve as a project manager on some assigned projects.
Qualifications and Skills:

  3. At least eight years of experience with an electrical engineering degree or at least ten years of relevant experience and a degree in another engineering discipline.
  4. Experience with energetics-related safety systems (e.g., bonding & grounding, lightning protection systems) is preferred but not required.
  5. Demonstrated ability to collaborate/communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  6. Excellent verbal/written communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
  7. Fluency in NFPA 70 and NEC.
  8. Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
