Job summary

MacLean Engineering is seeking experienced Intermediate and Senior Electrical Engineering Designers to join our Product Engineering Team. You will design, integrate and improve DC/AC/PLC systems for underground mobile mining equipment and mentor other designers.

You will work with a skilled team across multiple design disciplines, participating from concept through production while aligning with standards, safety and quality objectives. This role offers growth in a world-renowned company.

Qualifications

• Engineering diploma or degree from a recognized institution.
• Eligible for licensing through OACETT or PEO preferred.
• 5+ years of design/manufacturing experience with heavy/mobile equipment.
• SolidWorks and AutoCAD with certified training preferred.
• MS Office proficiency (Word/Excel/Project/SharePoint).
• Understanding manufacturing processes such as machining and welding.
• Strong verbal and written communication; multilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across DC, AC, PLC and related electrical systems.
• Mentor less experienced designers to support team development.
• Lead complex design initiatives from concept through production.
• Identify design risks and drive跨-disciplinary solutions.
• Manage projects with Product Manager on scope, schedule and resources.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing and Customer Support.
• Review designs, BOMs and test criteria for production readiness.
• Develop and implement improved design methods and standards.
• Support quality objectives with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
