Job summary

DMC Mining Services seeks an Intermediate Engineer, Electrical to join our Vaughan, Ontario team on a permanent basis. You will coordinate and perform electrical engineering and design for underground mining, shaft sinking, and mining construction projects.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with a P.Eng. in Ontario and 5+ years of mining or heavy industrial electrical experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and P.Eng. in Ontario.
• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience in mining/heavy industry.
• Knowledge of CSA, NEC, IEEE, ISA, NFPA standards and codes.
• Experience with LV/MV distribution design.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• PE license in US or other provinces is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversees electrical design deliverables including single line diagrams and panel schedules.
• Performs power system analysis: load flow, short circuit, grounding, harmonics.
• Reviews electrical work for code compliance and QA/QC.
• Develops equipment specifications, datasheets, and scope of work.
• Coordinates with other disciplines and manages multiple tasks.
• Supports proposals with methodology, budget estimation, and scheduling.
