Job summary

Affirm, Inc. is seeking a Senior Kubernetes Platform Engineer to architect and scale the EKS-based compute platform. You will drive cluster lifecycle, automation, and reliability across 90+ clusters, enabling engineers to deploy with confidence.

You will mentor teams, enforce policy-driven standards, and partner with SRE and product teams. This remote-first role offers competitive CAD compensation and a transparent pay structure.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software or infrastructure engineering.
• Hands-on production Kubernetes at scale, preferably AWS EKS.
• Strong IaC and GitOps experience with Terraform and ArgoCD.

Responsibilities

• Architect and evolve Affirm's EKS platform and cluster lifecycle.
• Lead provisioning, upgrades, and teardown via IaC and self-service workflows.
• Own reliability of core components and CI/CD pipelines.
• Define workload safety standards and enforcement via policy.
• Mentor engineers and participate in on-call rotations.
