Job summary

Aplin is partnering to recruit a Senior Economic Analyst for a newly created 12-month contract located in Edmonton, Toronto or Vancouver and fully in-office. The role requires translating macroeconomic insights into leadership-ready recommendations and supporting strategic planning across functions.

The ideal candidate brings 5–10 years of economic analysis experience, strong econometric and communication skills, and a degree in Economics or a related field. Power BI experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in economic analysis, research, or strategy.
• Strong understanding of macro and microeconomics.
• Ability to translate data into clear leadership-ready insights.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze macroeconomic and industry trends across Canada and North America.
• Monitor rates, inflation, GDP, labour markets, and trade developments.
• Assess how conditions impact business strategy and investments.
• Prepare quarterly outlooks and executive briefings.
• Develop dashboards and visual reporting for decision makers.
