Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, FP&A, investment analysis, business case development, project controls, or corporate finance.
  • CPA designation or active pursuit of a CPA designation is considered an asset.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modelling, scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, and complex formulas.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing forecasts, budgets, cost estimates, and financial evaluations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking capabilities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain business cases, financial models, and investment analyses for strategic initiatives and projects.
  • Prepare project cost estimates, funding requirements, and total cost of ownership (TCO) assessments.
  • Conduct financial evaluations including ROI, CPVRR, NPV, and other investment analysis methodologies.
  • Review, validate, and document financial assumptions provided by project teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
  • Ensure consistency and alignment between business case narratives and supporting financial models.
  • Support project forecasting activities, including variance analysis and financial performance reporting.
  • Consolidate financial information across multiple initiatives to provide portfolio-level reporting and insights.
  • Enhance financial modelling tools, templates, and reporting processes to improve efficiency and standardization.

Typical Day

Benefits & Compensation
  • Total rewards: $45.00 - $55.00 hourly
  • 12 months contract position
  • Pay rate 45+ based on experience, also incorporate option
