Canadian Natural is seeking an experienced Drilling Operations leader to guide safe, cost-effective drilling programs in Calgary. You will direct drilling teams, engage Wellsite Supervisors, and coordinate with engineers and contractors to deliver wells on schedule and within budget.

The role emphasizes safety, compliance, and operational discipline, with frequent field visits to reinforce standards and drive improvements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of drilling operations experience with strong rig-site leadership

Responsibilities

• Supervise up to three drilling rigs across multiple areas
• Ensure operations are safe, efficient, and compliant with programs and regulations
• Promote safety culture through field engagement and incident reviews
• Support drilling engineers during planning, program development, and reviews
• Monitor performance and costs, identify opportunities to reduce non-productive time
• Review contractor invoices and manage vendor performance
• Participate in pre-spud, readiness, and post-well reviews and write end-of-well summaries
