Job summary

Harvest Operations Corp. in Calgary seeks a Team Lead, Health and Safety to lead practical, legally compliant H&S programs across operations, projects and maintenance.

You will develop strategy, coach executives and field staff, manage governance, audits, and emergency planning while partnering with regulators to ensure flawless execution. This full-time, permanent role requires extensive leadership experience in oil and gas, strong knowledge of applicable laws, and a willingness to travel to

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressively responsible health and safety experience in oil and gas or other high-hazard industries.
• 10+ years of leadership experience overseeing H&S professionals and budgets.
• Post-secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
• Professional designation such as CRSP/CSP/EP is required or preferred.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation in Alberta and BC.
• Experience with H&S management systems, incident investigation, audits, and contractor safety.
• ICS certification is an asset.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel to field locations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute an H&S strategy and multi-year roadmap aligned with business plans and risk profile.
• Establish H&S standards, indicators, accountabilities, and performance targets for teams.
• Coach executives, managers, and staff to demonstrate active H&S leadership and risk controls.
• Promote joint work site health and safety processes and field engagement.
• Ensure regulatory reporting, compliance filings, and governance processes are in place.
