Predator Drilling Inc. in Canada seeks an experienced Coring Supervisor to lead coring operations, ensuring safety, efficiency and high standards. You will direct the crew, oversee core handling, and coordinate with geologists, engineers and clients to deliver quality cores and compliant practices.

You must have hands-on coring experience and a valid Well Control ticket, plus strong leadership and communication skills for a fast-paced work environment.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in coring operations is required.
• Well Control certification/ticket is mandatory.
• Experience supervising or leading a drilling/coring crew.
• Strong knowledge of drilling and coring operations, equipment and procedures.
• Hands-on with core barrels, wireline systems, drilling tools and coring equipment.
• Strong understanding of core recovery, handling and preservation.
• Knowledge of well control principles and safe drilling practices.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to monitor drilling conditions and make sound operational decisions.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work with crews, management, clients, geologists and engineers.
• Commitment to safety and environmental responsibility.
• Ability to work independently with broad operations team communication.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced, safety-sensitive environment.
• Valid driver's licence.

Aufgaben

• Supervise and lead day-to-day coring and drilling operations.
• Provide clear direction and leadership to the coring crew.
• Ensure coring operations are conducted safely and efficiently.
• Operate and oversee drilling and coring equipment as required.
• Monitor core recovery and ensure proper handling, labeling and documentation.
• Maintain core integrity and quality for geological evaluation.
• Coordinate core retrieval, handling, storage and transportation.
• Monitor condition and performance of drilling and coring equipment.
• Coordinate preventative maintenance and report issues promptly.
• Ensure tools, barrels, wireline, pumps and related equipment are maintained.
• Assist with troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic and drilling equipment issues.
• Monitor drilling fluid properties and circulation for safe coring operations.
• Maintain awareness of well conditions and respond to changes.
• Apply proper well control practices at all times.
• Complete daily drilling reports, core records, equipment logs and inspections.
• Coordinate with geologists, engineers, clients and field personnel as required.
• Follow all safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
