Job summary

LOGISTEC is seeking a technology leader to shape the next generation of software, data and AI across a North American network. You will own strategy and execution for critical applications, leading software engineers, BI/data warehouse specialists and QA across Canada and the United States.

You will standardize practices, modernize portfolios, and guide architecture across cloud services and data platforms while embedding secure-by-design principles. Travel across North America will be required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive software development experience with hands-on engineering earlier in your career.
• 5+ years leading software engineering teams and technical leaders.
• Proven track record delivering enterprise-scale applications in multi-site environments.
• Experience defining and delivering an AI or Generative AI strategy with governance and adoption measures.
• Strong understanding of modern architecture, cloud, APIs, databases, distributed systems and secure software development.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the application, software engineering, data and AI roadmap aligning investments with business outcomes.
• Build and coach a high-performing team across Canada & US.
• Standardize engineering practices, delivery methods, and governance across the network.
• Modernize application portfolio by deciding what to build/buy/integrate/simplify.
• Guide architecture across cloud services, integrations and enterprise platforms.
• Improve delivery through Agile planning, metrics and portfolio management.
• Advance DevOps and software quality with CI/CD, automated testing and secure coding.
• Embed Secure-by-Design and DevSecOps with Cybersecurity partners.
• Serve as trusted advisor to executives, translating tech choices into business value.
• Introduce AI-assisted engineering to boost productivity and quality.
