Job summary

Stewart Title Canada seeks a Director, Residential Business Development to lead the Ontario and Atlantic Canada BD teams and drive growth in residential real estate. The role is home-office based but requires frequent in-person client meetings and travel across the regions.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in business development, sales, or title insurance, with strong knowledge of real estate law and excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Qualifications

• University degree in Business, Real Estate, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in business development, sales, title insurance, or related industry.
• Strong understanding of real estate law, closing processes, and title insurance products.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of the residential Business Development (BD) team in Ontario and Atlantic Canada.
• Provide support and direction to sales staff.
• Troubleshoot issues and ensure matters are resolved in a timely manner.
• Create and align departmental and staff goals with corporate goals.
• Liaise with internal departments to keep BDs updated on changes.
• Maintain positive relationships with BD representatives, internal staff and department heads.
• Produce monthly and quarterly departmental reports and presentations.
• Represent BD group in technology initiatives and new business ventures.
• Attend client events and travel for meetings as required.
• Update BDs on issues or legislation affecting real estate markets.
• Represent Stewart Title at industry events and conferences.
• Assist with budget planning and sales forecasting.
