Manulife/John Hancock is seeking a Director-level technology leader to drive the technical program agenda across the mainframe and policy administration domain in Waterloo, Ontario. You will balance sustaining in-force policies with modernization efforts, managing cost, risk, and delivery while leading multiple squads and reporting to AVP and business stakeholders.

Formación

• 3+ years of experience at the Director level or in a comparable senior technology leadership role.
• 5–10 years of experience leading technology teams, including leaders and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong mainframe and policy administration expertise, including COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, RACF, Endevor, CICS.
• Strong architecture and modernization experience, including cloud technologies such as Azure.

Responsabilidades

• Set technical program direction for mainframe and policy administration portfolio across multi-year sustainment and modernization.
• Lead multiple direct reports and squads with accountability for resourcing, performance and standards.
• Partner with Business Delivery Leads to balance stability, regulatory commitments and modernization opportunities.
• Manage portfolio risks, dependencies and partner delivery across systems.
• Drive mitigation, cost and delivery accountability with internal and third-party partners.
• Improve run-cost, capacity, observability and overall platform health.
• Influence leaders on investments for the closed block agenda.
• Champion responsible AI adoption and engineering productivity across the portfolio.
