Job summary

Build Canada Homes (BCH) is seeking a Senior Director, IT and Cybersecurity to lead technology strategy, governance, and delivery across BCH and its subsidiaries. You will oversee IT operations, cybersecurity, data governance, and risk management to enable secure, scalable services aligned with the organization’s mandate.

The role requires guiding technology investments, establishing service delivery frameworks, and promoting continuous improvement across IT functions.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Admin or related field.
• Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CGEIT, ITIL, PMP, TOGAF, Cloud certifications or equivalent are assets.
• Extensive experience of 10–15+ years in progressively senior technology leadership roles.
• Proven track record leading enterprise technology, infrastructure, cybersecurity, digital transformation, and data governance in complex organizations or regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, technology risk management, enterprise architecture, IT operations, cloud technologies and data governance practices.

Responsibilities

• Sets technology vision, priorities, and multi-year roadmap to support BCH's mandate and objectives.
• Aligns technology strategy and investments with evolving business needs.
• Leads digital enablement and modernization initiatives to improve scalability and service delivery.
• Identifies opportunities to leverage technology, automation, and innovation to enhance performance.
• Advises leadership on technology investments, cybersecurity, and information management.
